Vector Graphics for Screen Printing: What You Get
Vector graphics are built from mathematical paths instead of pixels, so they stay sharp at any size, from a 3.5 inch left-chest logo to a 14 inch full back. For screen printing, a good vector file does more than look sharp. It is organized for production.

Why Proper Vector Artwork Matters
Artwork is output to film, the film exposes an emulsion-coated screen, and ink is pushed through the open mesh. Each step magnifies problems in the file.
Pixelated edges get burned in
A low-resolution logo enlarged for a full-front print shows stair-stepped edges, and those steps print exactly as they appear on film.
Soft edges print rough
Fuzzy gray pixels either turn into tiny dots or disappear during exposure. Either way, the edge prints rough.
Too many colors cost money
Every spot color is a separate screen and setup. Proper vector art reduces a design to the exact number of screens the job needs.
Fine details will not hold
Hairlines and tiny text that look fine on a monitor can close up or wash out on mesh.

Spot color artwork

Halftone artwork
Shading and gradients turned into dot patterns, so one ink can create many tones. Many shops print textile halftones around 45 to 65 LPI, but every shop is different, so we match your preferred settings.
CMYK four-color process (when it makes sense)
Works best on white or light garments with carefully prepared artwork. For many apparel jobs, spot color or simulated process gives brighter, more predictable results. We will tell you honestly which method fits before you pay for separations.
Simulated process for dark garments
The go-to method for photorealistic artwork on dark shirts: spot colors plus halftones over a white underbase. These separations are built as high-resolution raster channels, which is normal for this method, and delivered labeled and ready for film.

How much does vector art for screen printing cost?
Simple logos start at $10. Complex vector logos are usually $15 to $20, and advanced artwork starts from $25. Color separation for screen printing typically costs $10 to $15. How fast can I get my vector files?
Most standard vector orders are delivered within 24 hours. Complex artwork and multi-color separations can take longer, and we confirm the timing upfront. Rush service is available on request if you have a tight production deadline.
Can you fix a blurry or low-resolution logo?
Yes. Blurry, pixelated and low-resolution logos are the most common files we receive. We redraw the design as clean vector artwork rather than simply enlarging the image. If any part of the original is too unclear to read, we ask before guessing.
What file formats will I receive?
We usually deliver AI, EPS and PDF files, plus a PNG or JPG proof. We can also provide SVG, CDR and other formats on request. Simulated process separations are delivered as layered raster files such as PSD or TIFF, which is standard for that method.
What file formats can I send you?
You can send almost anything: JPG, PNG, PDF, SVG, BMP, TIFF, PSD, AI, EPS, a screenshot, a photo of a printed shirt or a scanned sketch. The clearer the original, the faster the redraw, but we work with what you have.
Do you provide color separations for screen printing?
Yes. We provide spot color separations, halftone separations, white underbase and highlight white layers, CMYK four-color process and simulated process separations. Share your garment color, number of colors and any shop settings, and we will build the separations to match your setup.
What is the difference between spot color and simulated process?
Spot color prints each solid color from its own screen and is best for logos, text and graphic designs. Simulated process combines a set of spot colors with halftones to reproduce photorealistic or highly detailed artwork, especially on dark garments. We can recommend the right method for your artwork.
Do you offer revisions?
Yes. You review a proof before your files are finalized, and revisions on the proof are free until the artwork is right for your print.
What does my artwork need to be ready for screen printing?
Screen printing artwork should be vector or high resolution, with colors separated one per screen, fonts converted to outlines, lines thick enough to hold on the mesh, and colors identified by Pantone references. It should also be sized to the actual print dimensions. We handle all of these steps for you.
Can you match my brand's Pantone colors?
Yes. If you know your brand’s Pantone (PMS) colors, include them with your order. If you do not, we will match the colors in your artwork to the closest Pantone references and list them on your proof.
Do I own the vector files after the order?
Yes. Once your order is paid, the final files are yours to use for printing, embroidery, signage, web and any other purpose.
